Marta takes unconventional and inappropriate materials like bugs, glitter, wood, natural parchment, and resin and translates them into fantastical ornaments. Mattsson has exhibited her jewelry internationally since 2006 in over 20 solo exhibitions as well as many group exhibitions. She has given workshops and lectures in China, Belgium, Mexico, Thailand, USA, Sweden and Latvia and she is currently a part time lecturer at HDK – Academy of Design and Crafts in the department for jewelry art.
