In Sweden, students from the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or other Nordic countries do not have to pay tuition, but only an application fee of around 100 EUR. Students from non-EU/EEA countries pay tuition fees of 7,500–25,500 EUR per year. The tuition fee for all courses and all programmes except for the master programmes with English teaching, is 2500 SEK per credit. These mentioned fees are due for academic year 2021/2022.
To apply, visit www.universityadmissions.se. Once you have received notification of admission to a Master’s programme at SLU, you will receive an invoice by email for the tuition fees for the first semester. If the programme syllabus and course syllabus contains eligibility requirements for continuing/ transition to the next semester and the student does not meet the admission requirements, the tuition fee may be reimbursed, excluding banking fees and an administrative fee of SEK 6000. The student will also receive an email which confirms the payment of the tuition fee when the remaining 25% have been paid. No separate scholarship certificate will be provided. Mid Sweden University will inform the Swedish Migration Agency that the tuition fee has been paid. Therefore, no certificate is needed for the residence permit application.
